SENGGIGI BEACH

Senggigi Beach is a famous tourist spot in Lombok. Located on the west coast of the island of Lombok. Senggigi beach is not as big as Kuta Beach in Bali, but once we were here will feel like being at Kuta Beach, Bali. Coastal beaches are still beautiful, although there is still littered with garbage because the leaves are still rarely cleaned. Underwater scenery is very beautiful, and tourists can do snorkeling as much because the waves are not too large. Coral reefs rose to the middle causing large waves breaking in the middle. There are also hotels with varying prices, from the expensive to the hotel economically worthwhile.

About half an hour by foot, the tourists can find Batu Bolong at this Senggigi beach. It is a temple built on a reef which is located on the waterfront. According to local legend, long ago often held a virgin sacrifice to the shark as shark food in this place. Another legend says first of many women who flung himself into the sea from this place because of a broken heart. From this place also seen Mount Agung in Bali.

Not far from Batu Bolong there is the tomb of a scholar. This is a sacred place for the followers of Wetu Telu. Stone screen at the visit when the bustling "Lebaran topat" which is an Eid for the people who fasted 1 week after Eid Eid.

Senggigi Beach, located on the north ward, is the most popular beaches and is famous for its beauty. The beach is located 12 kilometers east of Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Lombok, stretching nearly 10 km long with white sand that seems to tempt you to sit on and for a moment forgetting all the routines of your life, city traffic , and fresh air to enjoy the sea of blue-green shades and enjoy the beautiful sunset in Senggigi beach.
